niewiarygodna historia z wafu
Cytat: | Hi,
I'm new here and I'm searching for pictures of the 9. Kompanie Fallschirmjägerregiment 3 (9./FJR 3) for the period Mai 1942 to April 1943.
At this time my great oncel was member of this unit.
He died at 28.03.43 near Lushki (Luzhok) not far from Smolensk.
He died at the Knobloch Höhe, this information is from the book Pictorial History of Fallschirm-Jäger Rgt. 3 Volume 2.
Has anybody pictures or something else from this unit.
I would be very happy.
Here some informations from my great uncle:
Name: Kurt Jeschke
Rang: Gefreiter
Birthdate: 16.06.1922
Place of Birth: Nissmenau
Date of death: 28.03.1943
Place: 2 km nördl. Lushki
Identification Tag: 63092/1091
This is a early picture from 1941 - I think. Before he joined the paratroopers. |

Cytat: | Hi Kurt , as i see this world is so small and could you imagine that the place where you wrote is right .... it's crazy but I am the one of these who found your uncle during our researches of Russian MIAs there ...We have dig on the hill Knobloch every year and already found some MIas FJ ... he was in the trench on the first line of defending positions /we found him 2 years ago and this spring remains of body were given to WAst ! They already should be burried on the local cemetary . Below the photo of his ID tag found with him together ...i have a lot of pix of that place during our trips /
cheers

Ciekawy tekst o podejściu do rekonstrukcji Rollina z atthefront:
Cytat: | Please take a moment this afternoon to reflect upon why many of you are involved in this hobby. All jokes, unit banter and uniform critiquing aside - war is not a joke. It is a filthy, disgusting, and often brutal game where the only "winners" are whomever is left standing after the smoke clears. Far too many young men (and women, too) did not go home to their families. We spend single weekends or afternoons playing war and return home "tired and dirty." Plenty of these kids (and I say that endearingly) spent months living in the mud and their own filth, marching hundreds of miles, watching their friends die and sometimes doing the killing themselves. As reenactors you should strive to be the very best that you can possibly in whatever your impression is. If not for yourself, for them. Learn what you do, live it, own it! We do our very best to provide the best and most authentic uniforms and equipment possible. We thank you for your business, and we're proud to provide it for you. |
