|
Zainspirowany takim oto znaleziskiem, postanowiłem zagłębić się w temat jednoguzikowych czapek kroju M43 występujących w LW (bergmutze)
Cytat: | Chapter 28 of Volume 2 of Angolia covers Mountain clothing of the Luftwaffe. According to him, by order (BLB 39, No. 31, 1938) personnel assigned to mountain duties were issued the mountain cap, wind jacket, mountain trousers, mountain boots, ankle puttees and over gauntlets. A second order in 1943 added the over-jacket, overtrousers and three finger over gauntlets. On page 340 of that same book, Angolia shows a photo of members of Para Regiment 1 on their way to Narvik wearing their mountain clothing in 1940. |
Wymienione powyżej jednostki to np.:
1) obsługi dział plot , radiostacji czy meteorologiczne stacjonujące w górach/na wyższych wysokościach
2) Luftwaffe Feld-regiments 501,502 oraz 503, a także 14 dywizja polowa które stacjonowały w norwegi. Otrzymały one pewną ilość GJotowego ekwipunku, ponadto niektórzy podoficerowie/oficerowie zostali przydzieleni lub wywodzili się z jednostek GJ.
Ponadto Cytat: | Luftwaffe mountain caps were worn by all branches. Unlike side caps, they were practical and warm. They were extremely popular among Fj | - nie dotyczy to jednakże najwcześniejszego okresu, tj. czasu zaraz po ich wprowadzeniu.

Ed Walton , Lost Battalions Military Reproductions napisał: | In fact,
the Luftwaffe Bergmütze was a general issue cap that was introduced
in early 1942 and was issued to, and heavily used by, all branches of
the Luftwaffe. This usage included pilots and groundcrew, as well as
the flack and ground units. Speculation is that it was probably
originally meant for use on the Eastern front, but in was used
everywhere. Most uniform books misidentify photos of this cap as a
"single button M43" which is a different cap. The other wise
excellent Mason "Soldat" book is particularly humorous in this
regard. The Luftwaffe Bergmütze was manufactured until the adoption
of the Luftwaffe version of the einheitsfeldmütze in November of 1943. |
oraz
Ed Walton , Lost Battalions Military Reproductions napisał: | Luftwaffe bergmütze or a fliegermütze or the various tropical caps
would be appropriate for FJ in the Salerno to Cassino era. Lots of
photos of the berg in use by FJ at that time. There is one photo in
the FJR3 book of six men in May 44. Three wear the blue Luftwaffe
berg, one wears a tropical pattern cap made from Italian camo, one
wears a Heer field gray berg with a Luftwafffe eagle on it, and the
sixth wears an olive Heer tropical cap with a Luftwaffe breast eagle
on it. When it comes to the Luftwaffe in Italy, uniformity is the
enemy of authenticity.
Luftwaffe didn't adopt the M43 on paper until Nov of 43 and photos
don't really show it in Italy too much. I doubt if the Luftwaffe
troops anywhere had the M43 prior to May 44, just because of the time
involved in the supply chain. |
Oraz ciekawostka, która wyskoczyła w międzyczasie poszukiwania informacji nt. Bergmutze:
Cytat: | Because this must have been a problem, the Luftwaffe Verordnungsblatt of 1944, page 638 #1187, forbid LW personnel to wear the Edelweiss or Jäger sprig. |
