Witam
Oto ulotka którą ostatnio udało mi się zdobyć,niby nic ale zaciekawiła mnie na niej data zakończenia szlaku bojowego,a mianowicie 20 Maj 1945 ???
Dzięki uprzejmości kolegi Hainrich-a otrzymałem tłumaczenie:
cyt.
"Powinienes
Wierzyć w przyszłość Niemiec
W zmartwychwstanie Twojego narodu;
Ja natomiast dotarłem do ciekawej informacji:
As part of the work the Germans decided to build more of the aerial tramways, i have identified 3 so far in an area known as Kitdal.
Zooming in further we can see part of the area covered by the division and in this sector mostly GJR 141.
1. represents the path of the main aerial tramway which rose from the Kitdal valley to an upper valley from where supplies where moved by sled out to the forward positions, still several kilometers away.
2. shows the valley of Kitdal where the regimental headquarters of GJR141 was located and where some 4000 troops were gathered after the surrender
3. shows the area called Kvesmenes and where division headquarters was located, also Armee Abteilung Narvik's headquarters was here for a while. Note also the red square which is the same location as in the previous maps.
The units based in the area. Note Eisb-Pi. Komp (mot) 619 is noted at the end with 192 men and 8 horsesmules. The document is one drawn up by the Germans for the allies in May '45 detailing units and numbers as they were in the so called 'reservations'
As the war ended Franz as with all the other troops in Norway gathered into these so called 'reservations' an important distinction as they were not considered POWs and anyway the allies were so few on the ground that the Germans could have done as they pleased had they so wished.
During July he was awarded his Lappland shield.
